A man and woman were arrested by federal authorities after they allegedly flew 260 pounds of marijuana from California to Orlando, according to an arrest affidavit. A Department of Homeland Security agent wrote in an arrest affidavit that he received a tip shortly after midnight Monday that a private plane bound for Orlando Executive Airport from Sonoma, Calif. was carrying a large amount of marijuana.
Broward Sheriff's Office homicide detectives are investigating after a body was found Wednesday afternoon in Deerfield Beach. Sky 10 was above Southwest Natura Boulevard and Natura Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. as deputies taped off the scene.

Police are investigating after two firefighters were shot at while responding to an apartment fire in North Miami. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to a call of a fire at 13390 N.E. 7th Ave, at around 3 a.m., Wednesday. Upon their arrival, crews noticed heavy smoke coming from the second floor of the building.
Port Saint Lucie: A two and a half hour search for an accused killer ended Tuesday night when Port St. Lucie police arrested a man in connection with the murder of his father. Investigators had responded to the Club apartments just before 5 p.m. after the suspect called them.
Jacksonville: Sheriff's Office is investigating after it said a man, woman and toddler were found dead in a home in the Woodland Acres area on Tuesday night. The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department responded to a home in the 8900 block of India Avenue and found the three bodies after forcing entry into the home.

North Lauderdale: Police have arrested a 19-year-old man in connection to a North Lauderderdale shooting that sent two teenagers to the hospital — one of them in critical condition. Fernandinho St Lot was arrested Sunday afternoon for his alleged involvement in a North Lauderdale shooting, according to Broward Sheriff's Office. Police said St Lot will face two charges of attempted murder of two juveniles.
A mother in St. Pete is warning others of the dangers associated with space heaters after her family was displaced due to a house fire. Eight people were home, cooking Sunday dinner when the fire started on 21st St. South in St. Petersburg. Everyone made it out unharmed, but everything inside the home was destroyed, including the kids' Christmas presents.
