2 year agoAnother look at the scene this morning where JSO says officers exchanged gunfire with a passenger in this white sedan. It was a traffic stop that led to the shooting. Deputies noticed a passenger in this car wearing a bulletproof vest and later noticed he had a gun

2 year agoBusy scene at the intersection of Lem Turner Road and Dunn Avenue. Dozens of JSO vehicles spread out between businesses. JSO reported an officer-involved shooting in the area.
Jax Sheriff's Office:Officer involved shooting in the area of Dunn Ave. and Lem Turner Rd. Ofc uninjured, suspect transported to local hospital.
Colonial Boulevard Eastbound will be shut down at Rolfes Road, while Fort Myers Police investigates a vehicle vs pedestrian fatality. All involved parties have remained on scene. The roadway will be closed for an undetermined amount of time
