11 month agoNorth Port is strong. This is damage to Station 81. Crews were inside when Hurricane Ian passed. They rode it out and immediately went into rescue mode. The building is structurally sound. Engineers did check it out.

11 month agoJSO is still investigating the cause of death. The man was seen calling for help, then going under the water, and his body was then recovered later. JSO did not call this a drowning at this time

11 month agoJSO says an officer was shot, but is ok. They fired back. JSO says the suspect stole a car, crashed & jumped into the river at the Dames Point Bridge. The suspect's body has been recovered.
